Kardeş Türküler ile 30 Yıl
For three decades, the music project Kardeş Türküler has brought together different voices and musical traditions from Anatolia. What began as a university project in 1993 developed into a movement that makes room for languages, cultures and histories that have been consigned to oblivion.
Drawing on archival footage and encounters with companions along the way, Ayşe Çetinbaş and Çayan Demirel trace the group’s musical and political journey. The result is a chronicle of “being together” and, at the same time, a reflection of social and political change. Music becomes the language of memory, resistance and hope for a life together.
