In a Kurdish village in Rojhelat, 78-year-old Khadijeh devotedly cares not only for her sick husband but also for an injured stork, hoping to help it continue its migration. At the same time, she tries to dissuade her daughter from emigrating to the United Kingdom.
Singing Wings tells a story of departures and farewells. With a protagonist whose unwavering determination and care immediately win our hearts, and with surprising turns along the way, Hemen Khaledi creates a poetic, layered, optimistic and witty film about migration.
